MY APPROACH

Brain Spotting Certified Therapist

In Brain Spotting “where you look affects how you feel”. Locating points in an individual’s visual field helps access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain. Brain Spotting allow you to release the somatic responses you hold in your body. Brain Spotting was created by Dr. David Grand.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT focuses on modifying dysfunctional behaviors, emotion and thoughts through a “solution-orientated” form of talk therapy. Based on the idea that thoughts and perceptions influence behavior. CBT is the cornerstone for EMDR therapy utilizing the adaptive information processing (AIP) model.

Somatic Therapy

Incorporates the mind, body and spirit into therapeutic healing work. Somatic psychotherapy is based on the belief that a person’s inner feelings impact their physical form- using the mind-body exercises to release pent-up trauma from the mind and body. By releasing these bodily sensations, the therapy works toward healing trauma from the inside out.

ADHD Assessment

A comprehensive and collaborative process to understand a client’s attention, behavior, and executive functioning patterns. This includes clinical interviews, the Conners Scale Assessment, self-report measures, and gathering input from relevant sources such as parents, teachers, or caregivers when appropriate. The goal is to gain a clear picture of the client’s daily functioning, identify any impairments, and differentiate ADHD from other mental health or environmental factors.

"If you could only sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet. How important you can be to people you may never dream of. There is something about yourself that you can leave at every meeting with another person."

Mr. Fred Rogers
